About Us

Introduction: This document is intended to provide the reader with a brief synopsis of the history, business and technical capabilities of Computer Solutions of Tennessee.

Computer Solutions of Tennessee is a small privately owned business founded in 1987 that provides services for small to medium size businesses.  Our mission is to gain a solid understanding of our customer’s needs and internal environment and processes in order to provide the best solutions and services that will help them work more effectively.  We provide services that include PC technical support, network support, web site design and maintenance, dial-up Internet access, web site hosting, and Internet and email management control. 

Background: Computer Solutions of Tennessee was founded in 1987 by Ralph Hubbard, president, with the goal of providing PC-based systems and solutions to individuals and small businesses in the Oak Ridge, Tennessee area.  In the years since its founding, CSOT established a solid track record of delivering competent, reliable Personal Computer systems to its customers, along with excellent service and repair of all system components.

In 1994, CSOT started moving its business focus from single, stand-alone systems to networked PC systems and services for the small and medium-sized business market.   Bob Hutton, with extensive experience in computer and communications product development, joined CSOT in June, 1995.   With the addition of Bob, CSOT  began to aggressively move towards being a full-spectrum supplier of complete computer networks, service and support, and custom software application development.

In 1999, CSOT started closing out its hardware retail business to focus on networks, web site design, and custom software applications for businesses. 

In 2007, CSOT closed its Oak Ridge office after 20 years and is operating out of the home of the owner, Ralph Hubbard. 

Business Capabilities: CSOT is a debt-free, small business with a belief in financially conservative, self-funded growth.  We understand the complexities of being a complete business and have developed the skills and disciplines to deal with these complexities reliably and consistently.  We seek to operate as trusted business partners to our customers such that they are comfortable outsourcing critical computing services and projects to us, thus allowing them to focus on their core business.

Technical Capabilities: CSOT 's associates have a collective computer experience in computer systems administration and support, and designing, building and deploying commercial web sites, and networks.   We sell and support the GlobeServer Secure Internet Access and Email Management Control System.  We have developed current proficiency in:

  • Web Site Design and Consulting

  • Web Site Hosting Solutions

  • Dial-up Internet Access through NuVox

  • GlobeServer Secure Internet Access and Email Management Control Systems

  • Installation and support of Microsoft networks.
